In a breather for over 93 lakh candidates who appeared from across the country for the coveted recruitment test, the result of Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) 2016 Exam is likely to be declared online by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) on its official website within the next couple of weeks, board sources said.
Though the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) itself has not officially announced any date, multiple media reports citing board sources said the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) 2016 Exam results will be declared by July 31 or mid-August.
Some reports citing their sources in the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) said the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) 2016 Exam results will be declared in the third week of July. But, the RRB officials said that results of NTPC 2016 exam are still under process and it seems that Railway exam results might take 3-4 weeks time to be published.
Once declared, the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) 2016 Exam results will be available for download on the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) official website www.indianrailways.gov.in.

Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) 2016 Exam was held to fill up about 18,272 graduate posts of various zonal railways/production units.
The exam was held at 21 RRB centres. While the examination at 13 centres were held as per the announced schedule, it was rescheduled due to administrative reasons at eight centres which included Allahabad, Pune, Delhi and West Bengal.
The exams were conducted through CBT mode which turned out to be the world’s biggest online examination as the board received close to 93 lakh applications. However, amid several irregularities and difficulties ranging from exam delays and wrongdoings involved, only around 55 lakh candidates finally appeared for the exams.
The successful candidates will be recommended for the posts of Commercial Apprentice (CA), Traffic Apprentice (TA), Enquiry-cum-Reservation Clerk (ECRC), Goods Guard, Senior Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist (JAA), Assistant Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant and Senior Time Keeper.
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) was established in 1988. It is responsible for the appointment of new employees to work for various posts at Indian Railways.
